Customer service, product delivery and all that other stuff is handled by the creator of the product. Of course there are other ways you can reach your $100 per day goal, such as writing articles, info product creation and eBay just to name a few. But for this example we will stick with affiliate marketing.

So head over to clickbank, sign up if you haven’t already, and find a product that you want to promote. Try picking a product that pays out at least $25. That way you will only need to make 4 sales a day to reach your goal of $100 per day. One thing that I look for when promoting an affiliate product is how much material is provided for the affiliate. For example, does the vendor provide articles, keywords, rebrandable reports that can be given away, email copy to send out etc. The more material that is provided, the easier it will be for you to start promoting the product.

So before you decide to promote a particular product, make sure you check their affiliate page to see what they have to offer their affiliates.

Step #2 – Set Up Shop

It is very important that you set up a simple blog or website to send traffic to. You never want to send traffic directly to the merchants website. And here’s why. I am sure you have heard it a million and one times, and thats because it is oh so true. You absolutely must build a list. If you send visitors directly to the merchants site, you will not be able to capture their name and email address. Building a list is one of the most valuable assets you will ever have in your online business.

You see, if you truly want to make the big money online, you must have a list. It just makes things easier. All you need to do is set up a blog using wordpress or blogger, sign up with aweber or any other email marketing service, post the code on your site and start giving away something for free in exchange for the visitors name and email address. The next thing we want to talk about is article marketing. This is because article websites are really web 2.0 site. Article directories are sites where users (including you) can upload articles they have written. And just like other web 2.0 sites, you get all the SEO benefits from having your content on them. But you also get the extra benefit of other users taking your article and putting it on their site. And because the terms of the directory say they have to include your “resource box” you get links back from all these other sites, too. If you want to generate traffic from articles follow these steps:

  • Figure out what keywords you want to go after
  • Write your article for the keywords you’ve chosen
  • Be sure to link to your site on the keywords you’ve chosen. Do this inside the article itself and in your author’s bio.

Our discussion would not be complete without talking about video. Once again, this is really a sub-set of web 2.0. And it carries all the same benefits of article marketing. And if all that wasn’t enough, you also stand a much stronger chance of getting a high search engine ranking for the keywords you want with video than you do with text-based content.

OK, so how do you do effective video marketing?

  • Set up your YouTube account
  • When people view your videos, you want them to visit your site, so turn all the other modules in your profile off
  • Add tags to your profile
  • Add a link to your website
  • Add at least one video to your profile
  • For each video use your keywords in the tags, the descriptions and the title
